Sunday morning worship at Community Church is a collaborative effort involving
many people using their talents to provide a worship environment where God can
meet with us, challenge us, and shape us into the people He is calling us to
be. On any given week there are musicians, vocalists and sound technicians coming
together to prepare the songs, sounds and order of worship; digital projection
engineers setting up the overhead projector, song slides, and video elements;
volunteeers producing bulletins; Communion servers and Communion element providers/preparers;
and people praying for the Sunday morning service.
The worship teams gather in preparation each week practicing songs for the
upcoming service as well as enjoying a time to fellowship as a Community Group, to hear from God through his Word, and to uphold one another
in prayer before praising him in song. Musically, the worship teams continue
to grow by adding new songs to their repertoire and new people to the various
teams. Over the years we have been blessed with gifted drummers, percussionists, vocalists,
guitarists, pianists and many others who have helped to make each Sunday morning
service an environment where God's people are empowered to worship Him in Spirit and in truth, together. In addition, different team leaders with their unique
styles, and variety in the instrumentation and participation from week to week add a healthy diversity to our corporate worship experience.
