We desire for our leadership model to reflect the kind of church we want to
be and the giftedness of the people God has brought into community together
here. To this end, one of the ongoing ministries at Community Church is the Leadership
Community. This group broadens the opportunity to participate in the overall
vision and direction of the church to include a larger and more diverse group
of people. The elders wish to lead collaboratively with others who are just
as heavily invested and just as involved in what God is doing
in us and through us as a church. Therefore we have made it a priority to meet
regularly together to lay the foundation for what will become a community of
people who are participating together in the vision and direction for this church
in years to come.
The Leadership Community provides a mechanism that encourages open lines of
communication. It is important to get to know the people who lead alongside
one another at the church. We want our leadership team to be building relationships,
praying together, and partnering together in the kingdom work God has for us
at the church. We also want to provide a place of connection and encouragement
for our ministry leaders where they can come with their frustrations, concerns,
or questions about ‘this crazy idea they had.’ The relationships built
within the Leadership Community will be the driving force behind successful
and fulfilling ministry through this church.
